Unboxing the Reveal...

Ah - it's that time again... time to reveal another gorgeous month of kits from Cocoa Daisy! But, before we get to the projects I made, let's have a look at all the goodies that came in my box:

Now, what did I create with all that awesomeness?

Let's have a look:

First up, I was inspired by rainbows and all the fun little bits and bobs from the kit:
On this next layout, I got a little painty as I scrapped about my husband's hobby...

Here, some of the lovely planner graphics came to use on this card:

As well as on this little mixed media collage...

And, I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit for this spread, using the DITL cards in an actual pocket page...

Next, the gorgeous gold foil map transparency paper from the patterned paper add-on served as a background for this layout...

I put some of the fun stamps and more of the great little embellishments to use on this page...

Oh, and there's Simon again! This time, he has a pencil in which to write a little note...

This next layout was prompted by that fabulous cupcake card from the DITL kit...

And this page puts one of the fun cut files to use...

The large white rectangle on this next layout serves as a giant pocket for plenty of journaling...

And last, but not least... one more project with the fabulous planner pages...
Stay tuned as I have a fun, and somewhat different, process video coming later in the month...

Now, head on over to Cocoa Daisy and scoop up some of the goodies!

Thank You!

Hello, hello! It's Monday and that means we have a new challenge waiting for you at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.

This time of year we are writing thank you notes to teachers, coaches, office staff, and more! What better time to get a jump on a few thank-you notes and gifts? From tags for store bought things to homemade thank you gifts, cards, or anything else you dream up – thanks is the theme this week.

I was inspired by some lovely patterned paper and the trend of hand cut letters this week...
After cutting all of those out, I simply stitched them down, added some mist and watercolor....
and topped it off with a flamingo!
And, of course, some more layers of paper finished it off!
I just love how a few patterns and some hand cutting creates a personalized card full of whimsy in no time!

And, now it's your turn!

Go get crafty and and link-up with us! Every week a random winner is chosen to win a $50 spending spree from SimonSaysStamp.com.

Dreams...

The theme at CATfile this month is Dreams...
And what a dream come true for this little one, to finally get rid of her training wheels!

Seriously, how cute is that bicycle die cut? I had more fun backing it with the lovely florals that are part of this month's printables!

Oh, how I fell in love with the florals...
As is evident in my Family Portraits spread...

 YES! Dream...

 And Enjoy Life!
Be sure to head on over to CATfile Store to see all the lovelies and you can find more information on their blog too!

Have a great weekend!

X Y Z.....

Hello, hello! It's Monday and that means we have a new challenge waiting for you at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.

With our alphabet challenges we usually focus on just one letter – this week we’re giving you three! X, Y, and/or Z. I suppose you could also be inspired by the end (as this is the end of the alphabet), zoo animals, yellow, or yarn. What else? Well that’s for you to decide and share with us this week!

This week, I decided to put some of those always leftover consonants to use...
I simply grabbed all of those forgotten x, y, and z's....
Added some white to unify them all, then played with a bit of watercolor!
Then, with just some simply layering, journaling, and a few embellishments...
Ta Da!
I just love how a seemingly "leftover" supply can create such visual interest!

And, now it's your turn!

Go get crafty and and link-up with us! Every week a random winner is chosen to win a $50 spending spree from SimonSaysStamp.com.

The fun is in full swing over at Craft with May in the Vacation Scrapbooking Class!

In fact, I have been hard at work in the studio with more projects and more videos that will be up in class soon!

In fact, my latest projects for this class use ephemera, and do not include photos...

I had SO much fun putting these together and hope you will sign up for class so you can see the finished projects, along with the full video lessons!

See you there!

Simon Says...

Hello, hello! It's Monday and that means we have a new challenge waiting for you at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.

There is just one rule this week: Use any one Simon Says Stamp brand stamp, stencil, ink pad, cardstock, die, or kit on your project! It can also feature other things – just be sure to let us know what Simon brand exclusive product you used in your creation this week.

To get started on my layout, I have grabbed a favorite Simon Stencil and background Stamp, along with my beloved Prismacolors...
Now, I am simply going to use my stencil as a template for some colorful drawing...

I just layered and changed colors...

Until I had something like this...
A few finishing touches...
And there we have it!
I can't wait to see what you make this week!

Happy Scrapbooking Day - and a VIDEO!!!

Saturday was (Inter)National Scrapbook Day and we had a blast over at Cocoa Daisy! Several of the Design Team members, as well as some members of the forum, presented challenges. There are lots of fun ideas and prompts to get the creative juices flowing, so I do hope you will stop on by and take a look!

I posted two challenges. The first one was to "Lift a Daisy"...
I was so inspired by this lovely layout from the gallery, that I had to give that angled design a try!

Well, it is so fun to scrap about it again... this time, with a story of success!

For my second challenge, I worked up a little mixed media action, with a VIDEO to boot! YAY!
This truly is one of my favorite techniques! Please have a look at this video:
So fun!
Good times, indeed!
And finally, I decided to play along with Suz's sketch challenge and created this page:
The challenges are up for a week, so I encourage you to stop by and play along! You are not required to use Cocoa Daisy goodies, so it's a great way to try on the forums for size and introduce yourself to the CD community!

Hope to see you there!

Oh, and in case you are wondering what we are up to at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog this week.... we are all about the color Coral! And, I will be back in a few days with another video tutorial! Huzzah!
