Oh Brother... Christmas Card Swap!

(Please note... affiliate links are used throughout this post. Thank you for your continued support!)
Welcome back to another installment of the Oh Brother series... a blog series chronicling my adventures in learning my Brother ScanNCut.

I recently blogged about my adventures in making my first ACT cards for a swap. Well, we also swapped Christmas cards! And, for these little cuties, I decided to create my own doodled Christmas Tree Cut File...

I simply sketched it out with a sharpie, scanned it in, and ta da! Instant trees!

The coolest part about that is that I was able to cut out multiples and layer them up! Oh... and that little "rejoice" title? My handwriting! Yep - just wrote it, scanned it, and cut it!

And that fun little circle background was creating using my own handmade stencil too...
I know they are just dots... but they are MY dots and I love them!

And here is the finished card... complete with matching envelope!

Those labels? Curtesy of the built in shape selections on my machine!

Thanks for stopping by...see you soon!

  1. I thought that was your signature style card when I received it in the swap! Thank you for sharing your secret. LOVE IT! The exclusive orange/white CD paper is one of my favorites. Sweet address label. And love your "cozy" ATC too. It is posted in the gallery.

You are making me want to ditch my Silhouette and buy the ScanNCut......

  2. The card is so awesome. And i love your super awesome stencil. That's awesome to make your own. I made one, but it's just a sunburst done with cardboard. Anyway, I just love everything you do, Ashli. Here's wishing you a merry Christmas. Michelle t
