Oh Brother... Too Many Words?

Welcome back to another installment of the Oh Brother series!

For this layout, I put the direct cut feature to work on my Brother ScanNCut. What exactly do I mean by this? Well... I stamped my alphabet (a Cocoa Daisy exclusive), scanned it in to my ScanNCut using the direct cut feature, added a small border... and TA DA!!!!

Tons of cut out stamped images, ready for this page:
Do you see that little kitty cat too? She was cut in the exact same way. Look at the detail and the small lines that my machine picked up! Love that!

So... what did I learn about my ScanNCut while doing this project?
  • As long as you have a nice clean line, the machine will pick up very fine detail.
  • As with most things... cut speed, paper to mat adhesion, and blade settings are key. Too fast and the paper will rip, too slow and the blade will drag.
  • A small while border around stamped images looks amazing and really gives the cut a nice polished look.
So there ya have it! Lots of stamping, then letting my machine do all the fussy cutting! Love!
