This is SO Not Coffee...

Hello, hello! It's Monday and that means we have a new challenge waiting for you at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.

With the popularity of coffee and tea themed stamps, die cuts, and more, it was only a matter of time before we took this on as a challenge! You’re welcome to tea stain your paper, leave a coffee mark on your page, use Tim Holtz's new coffee or tea stamps or dies, or be inspired by your own favorite beverage!

The hubbs and I recently embarked on a 5 day juice fast. As in... nothing but fresh made vegetable juice for 5 days straight. That also meant no coffee. Oh my.... it was certainly quite the experience! And what does any sane scrapper do when they complete such a task?

Scrap about it, of course!

I have really enjoyed the transparent layering effects that the Dylusions paint allow, so I am going to get started with that...

After applying the brown and blue through my stencil, using the mini blending tool, I am now just going to apply the lime green and the yellow over the stenciling, using a straight edge...

Adding in a little white...

And with that all nice and dry, my stenciled dots are peeking through the lime green layers, almost like drops of coffee would...

Then, I simply grabbed my photo and some pretty papers and layered things up along the side. A die cut of a little mug starts off the embellishing...

And that is finished off with plenty of fun little bits...

I chose to journal sideways so that the script adds a texture to the page and is seen first as a visual element, and second as the story...

Ah - yes... that juice was SO not coffee....

But, I am glad we did it, and I was even more glad when our fast was over. The best part? Creating this layout, of course!

And now it's your turn to get crafty!
