"I" is For...

Hello, hello! It's Monday and that means we have a new challenge waiting for you at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.

From Ice cream to indigo blue stamps, and ink to ice resin – this week the letter i is our inspiration! How will you be inspired this week?

I chose to grab onto the first thing that came to mind....

Ice Cream!

I decided to craft up a little cone of my own to adorn a special card. To get started, I have embossed some white card stock and have some stamps at the ready...

It's so much fun that an ice cream cone is comprised of the most simple shapes. This makes it super easy to free-form cut! It's really all in the proportions. I made sure to have my "scoops" larger than my "cone," and it worked out great!

Plus, I love the idea of a present in place of the standard cherry on top :)

Then, I simply layered up some fun papers...

Then, just a little shading with watercolors...
And there you have it...
And with my handwritten sentiment, it is all sent to send to someone very special...

Wishing her a happy birthday, complete with a present on top!

And now it's your turn to get crafty!

Be sure to link-up with us! Every week a random winner is chosen to win a $50 spending spree from SimonSaysStamp.com.
