Another One for the Gallery...

Hello, hello! It's Monday and that means we have a new challenge waiting for you at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.

And this week... anything goes! YAY!

I was inspired by a stack of ephemera...art brochures and such to be exact. You see, back in the day when I was a recent Art School grad, I took to submitting my work to galleries. Well, as luck would have it, some galleries actually said yes! And, of course, I saved all the papers from these lovely galleries who liked my work and now I need a place to keep them. So... A scrapbook layout it is!
The very first thing I did was take two pieces of cardstock and sew them together, leaving the top open. This essentially turns the entire layout into a giant pocket. That pocket will hold all of those papers!
Ah, but let's not get ahead of ourselves... we need to decorate the front of the pocket, right?
Right! And I think some white misting and stenciling is just the thing...

With that all dry, I simply added my title around the center, did a little stamping, and now I am placing some die cuts and circle punched paper around...

And then I had something like this...
And this...

And there you have it!
A giant pocket, turned layout, full of memories...

And now it's your turn to get crafty!
Be sure to link-up with us! Every week a random winner is chosen to win a $50 spending spree from SimonSaysStamp.com.

  8. What a fun idea to make a folder/pocket for your gallery papers...I can think of several good ideas to organize/get out/actually-look-at-once-in-a-while some of my own paraphernalia. Beautiful work with a fun practicality--thanks for this inspiration!
