Seeing Green

Happy Monday! It's time for a new Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge.

From upcycling to playing with your favorite green ink pad, this week we’re all about how good it is to be green. Whether you want to use something that would otherwise be garbage on a project and be inspired to be environmentally friendly, or if you want to play with the color we hope you’ll join us.

My project this week came about in a bit of an unexpected way. I was lacking my crafty mojo, and decided to have a little creative play time with some oversized tags. Well, it turned out that when they were all finished... I really liked them. Most of all, I liked them all together:
So, I decided to use them as-is and make a little home decor piece. And since they are full of green goodness, let's take it a step further and mount them on some upcycled and repurposed paper:
A quick look through my sticker collection....
And some lovely little embellishments are found! As soon as I placed down this cute little house, I knew the direction to take this...
 Home...
 I do love our home...
With it all embellished and mounted on a salvaged board from the hubster's wood shop...
There we have it!

One of the best ways to jump out of a creative slump is a good dose of messy fun play in the studio. The key is no plan. Just grab your inks, mists, stencils, paint and go to town!

I can't wait to see your interpretation of this week's challenge! Remember... link-up with us.

One lucky winner is chosen at random each week to win a $50 shopping spree from SimonSaysStamp.com

  19. Love it and I totally agree, the best way to get out of a slump is to just play!! Your project turned out beautiful :D I think I'll play along with this challenge because I love using trash/junk that I just can't part with in my projects. I think it's a sickness really, I think everything can be turned into something, lol. Have a beautiful day!!!
