New week, new month... AND a new challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show. What's the theme this week? Anything! That's right - anything goes!
When I was perusing the Simon Says shop recently, I came across the adorable selection of Puffies by KI Memories. This fun style of embellishment had it's hey day before I was a scrapper. So, since anything goes this week - I am going to dive into this cuteness and give them a go. It also works out well that they go perfectly with my new 6x6 papers from American' Crafts Mayberry and Basic Grey's Mint Julep:I am thinking that this little journaling card sheet might be a good starting point. This has to be my favorite part about a 6x6 pad... the scaled down journaling cut-apart sheets are just the best and they make super easy cut outs to use in layering and embellishing:
Hmmmm.... I'm off to a good start, but I think those photos need some more grounding.
Some lovely Mint Julep to the rescue!
Oh yeppers! That is more like it:
We'll get back to our Puffies soon, but for now, stamping...
And some die cuts...
And, of course, a title:OK - now for the Puffies:
Oh, they are just so cute all scattered about!
Just a few finishing touches now, like some punched circles and some washi:
That washi was a bit too contrasty for me, so a simple finger swipe of gesso fixed that:
I also like the idea of some texture with twine and I think it might be fun to "hang" this butterfly from it:
And that pretty much finished this off!
We are indeed in the forest!
It is beautiful, especially with our little Puffie friends:
AND this adorable deer. Love him!
Alright! You don't have any rules this week! Go get crafty and link-up with us.
