A Captivating Background...

New week, new challenge! Are you ready?

It's all about backgrounds this week at Simon Says Stamp and Show. Your challenge is to use a background stamp in some way, shape, or form on a project. You could also use any stamp you’ve got to create a clever background design as well - the possibilities are endless!

I so enjoy using hearts in my crafting projects and one of my recent favorites is this exclusive stamp and die cut set from SimonSaysStamp.com. I just love the way the hearts are arranged on their packaging... let's leave them there and use the whole sheet as its own background stamp!

Yay! Pretty!

A little gold spritzing and we have our own custom pattern paper:

Okie dokie! Now, we have our stamped paper backed with a sheet of kraft and the photos all placed:

I think it would be lovely to use the accompanying dies from this exclusive set to make the embellishments for this page...

Along with some lovely chipboard and vellum stickers...

Before cutting out our hearts, I have placed the doily stickers along side each photo and used the oversized chipboard heart to bridge the gap between the pictures:

There they are... all cut out:

Then, I just popped them about on the page, clustering them out from the pink heart, and added my title. Now, I want to tone down the patterns and shapes around the title so that it pops out a little more. Distress paint to the rescue!

Likey so!

A little twine...

And a bit of white journaling...

Complete with a custom background....

Captivating!

That was so fun!

And now it's your turn! I can't wait to see what you do with background stamps. Make sure to link-up with us for your chance to win! Remember, one random linker-upper is drawn to win a $50 shopping spree from Simon Says Stamp. How awesome is that?!?!
