A Little Shabby Chic Go Around...

This week, over at the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge blog, we are playing with all things shabby chic!

From lace to doilies, adding a bit of a shabby touch with some brown ink around the edges or adding a bit of pearls to that vintage creation, this week we’re thinking shabby chic. Now, if this style is normally too feminine or frilly for you, we challenge you to take just one element that is often considered shabby chic and try to incorporate that. You’re also welcome to focus on the ‘chic’ or just the ‘shabby’ part in this challenge too. From brown inks to a soft trims and vintage findings – we hope you’ll join in and create this week.

And remember...
you could even win a $50 shopping spree from Simon Says Stamp
One lucky winner is drawn at random each week from all of our entries.
My Simon Says Stamp exclusive Delicate Dahlia Die cut looks like a beautiful doily...
That is my starting inspiration!
And, doilies are round.... so.... it seems perfectly logical to scrap about my daughter's first time on a Merry-Go-Round.
See what a deep thinker I am ? HA!

After pulling the above supplies of kraft cardstock, Pink Paislee Secret Crush Papers, and a bit of wire shaped into my title...
I set about cutting all of my little "doilies!"
Gorgeousness, I tell ya!!!

With all those cut, it's time to dress up that kraft paper with some lovely stamping:

Versa Fine inked doilies and white painted polka dots? YES!

And a little spritzy of Mister Huey and Color Shine:

Now, let's adhere all of those doilies with my new favorite adhesive:

Lookin' good!

After placing my glitter strips, the title gets stapled on...

And now for some wax-covered chipboard shapes!

Ah yes!!! So pretty!

I love the softness of the doilies contrasted by the bling of the glitter and metal words:
A little bit shabby....

... and a little bit chic for this go around!

Now it's your turn!
Can't wait to see what you link-up :)

Oh yeah - a complete supply list of the above is below: (affiliate links used)

Love your wire title, work it girl, just fab!! And yes the glitter and wire with the doilies and shab look terrific together, perhaps that is a balance I can strike as well because full on shabby chic doesn't really work so hot for me, LOL.
