A Fashionably Fast Review and Giveaway!

I am a pretty fast scrapbooker. Well, I think I am, relatively speaking...
I tend to spend a good amount of time picking supplies, but then once I have them ready to go I tend to just cut, glue, and get 'er dun!

But, until recently, I really didn't have a concrete set of ideas or a formula of sorts that would speed my scrapping along.

That all changed once I read May Flaum's new E-Book, Fashionably Fast!
I have to admit, when I cozied up to read this beautiful book, I pretty much thought I was in for a lovely read that would validate what I already knew. I was SO wrong!

This book is packed full of easy and practical ways to approach a layout that will result in super fast scrapping.
She makes it so simple. SO doable!
I had to put it to the test...
I grabbed some goodies...
With a copy of the book at my side...
I started one of the THREE videos that come with this E-Book.
That's right... this E-Book comes with 3 start to finish scrapbooking videos with May herself!
I read through her tips...

And enjoyed the gorgeous eye candy of May's pages along with pages from her fabulous contributors:
Amy Tan, Lisa Dickinson, Shimelle Lain, Melissa Stinson, and Stephanie Howell
Oh yeah.... totally awesome!
I can't say enough good things about this book! It is beautifully designed, full of relevant information and beautiful scrapbook pages...
I will be returning to this over and over again!

So, armed with all of this inspiration and the new tips and tricks... I went about my layout... with a timer set!
And this is what happened in 30 minutes!
YEP! 30 minutes! I think I set a new record for myself :)
Wondering how I stuck down all of those sequins in such a short time? Matte Medium. Easy peasy. I didn't even wait for it to dry. I just stuck everything else on top and it was all dry when I was ready to add my journaling and doodles.

What's not to love about that?!?!

Oh, but wait... it gets better!
May has generously offered to give a copy away to one of my readers.
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and let me know that you were here.

Please also make sure that you leave a way for me to contact you: email, twitter, instagram, etc...

I will draw one random commenter next Thursday night and will post the lucky winner shortly after.
But, you do not need to wait to purchase the book. If you win, you will be reimbursed!
Seriously, you don't want to miss this.
Three scrapbooking videos, a gorgeous E-Book, and lovely contributing artists... it is total perfection!
And it's an intro price of $7.99
That is totally awesome.

  25. A 30 minute page that looks this good would be incredible! <> SOOOO,that would mean, if I have two hours a night, four days a week...that would be 16 pages a week! 16 pages a week for the 47 weeks left in the year would be 752 in 2013! WHAT???? If I win, what a fun challege that would be for 2013?!

  29. Thanks for the chance to win. I take ages to do a layout and i dont even do technique heavy or arty layouts like yours. Just paper, glue, photos and a bit of journalling. I think i need this book!!

  31. Wonderful layout, and great review of May's book! Awesome!! These strategies will be so useful when "taking the show on the road"--I love going to crops for the social aspect, but am disappointed with my output given the time spent "scrapping'. :)

  33. This LO is totally awesome! Love the shiny sequins.I can't believe it only took 30 mins!!! I'm such a slow scrapper. Most of my layouts take at least an hour to do and some take me longer! I would love to learn how to do a page that I would actually like in 30 mins! It would definetly help me with completing the Design Team kits for my LSS in record time!
