soapHOUSEmama Pajama...

It's a new week and a new challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge blog.

This week Simon Says, "Show me what you are known for!"

Well, and for me, that means confessing to you my propensity for wearing pajamas ALL.THE.TIME.
Case in point, this is what I am wearing now:
Yep, I'm cool like that.

OK, so let's scrap a little page about this quirk of mine.

First up, I have a silly photo of my pajama clad self, along with some lovely Basic Gray papers and some Studio Calico bits:
I LOVE this paper by Basic Grey, but want to add some white to it, so out comes the paint and stencil:
 YAY! Pretty!
And now, I just start playing around with my papers. I really want that pie chart pattern to make it on this page, but this is just not doing it for me yet:
Maybe if they are fussy cut?
Hmmm..... I don't know....
That seems to add a bit of an Asian flair which is lovely, but not the thing for this goofy photo, yes?
Oh goodness, I am at a loss. I have NO ideas and am feeling totally uninspired. Oh bother.
Time to step away....

________________________________________________________________________

OK, I'm back and I think a torn edge and a rotated photo might be just the thing.
I'm not sure if it's the time away to clear the brain and a fresh perspective or the actual torn edge and rotated photo.... but, I am feeling better about this nonetheless.
YES! A strip of the pie chart paper and then the fussy cut elements are turned over and THAT is what gets me over the hump on this one. PHEW!
Some stickers and a bit of Crate Paper chip board...
Now, I am rollin' along!
The rest came easy! A sprinkle here, a doodle there...
 Fun and Happy times indeed!
Scrapping a fun quirk and overcoming a creative hump?
That certainly makes for a good Monday!

Alrighty, I can't wait to see your creations this week and to learn a little more about you as you scrap up what you are known for.

  2. A woman after my own slipper and PJ heart. I am wearing my fluffy ones like yours right now and have just got out of my PJs ...and it's almost lunch time. Even before my baby PJs were my fave thing and I'd wear them all day if the gods allowed!!! Your LO looks fabulous, I love the random string and clusters of embellishments...so many wonderful details to see in the close-ups. It turned out really cool. Enjoy your day, long live the comfortable look!

  7. I really like how you cut the butterfly in half and adhered them to the edges. I'm a big fan of jammies, too -- in the cold weather I love getting into them in the evenings and hate having to change out of them in the morning to go work.
