Well, since this week was all about stepping out of your comfort zone, I decided to try a little embossing. I typically stamp with paint and was tempted to carry on with the norm. But, that isn't much of a challenge now is it?

So, it turns out that this heat embossing thing and stamping without ink (or in my case, paint) turned out to be quite the challenge for me!

First I ended up with something a little crazy like this:
When I realized it was past the point of being saved, I moved in this direction....
But, that quickly turned into a hot mess, so I tried something else...
And didn't like that either.

So, back to my pretty papers for some inspiration!

I love this photo and these papers match quite nicely:
Perhaps some of that embossing will liven up this background?
Oh yes. Now I am back in the groove!
I can see this coming together...
A bit of title work and some lovely fussy cut flower action:
 A tag for layering:
Now perhaps I will use some ink without a stamp? How's that for turning this challenge upside down?
I want a little more bling on the page. Now let's emboss without the stamp!
Scrap paper embossed with gold and cut into strips:
 And ta-da!
A little trial, lots of error...
And a bit of stamping without ink and without a stamp...
Whew! We made it! Now, that IS sweetness :)

So, what will push you out of your creative comfort zone this week? Scrap it out and link-it-up!
