So Thankful...

Happy Monday! And, if you are stateside and celebrating this week, Happy Thanksgiving week!

We have a new challenge for you at the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge blog. So, if you haven't already, hop on over there and take a look at all of the DT's inspiration.

This week, it is all about giving thanks!

Whether you are getting a head start on making thank you cards for the upcoming holiday, hand crafting a gift in thanks, creating a scrapbook page about someone you love, or an art journal page about things you are thankful for - there are a lot of ways to give thanks this week....

And we want to see! Be sure to link-up for your chance to win!

As for me, I wanted to make a quick page all about things I am thankful for right this very minute. Quick and easy, just to capture my thoughts.

After a little misting on the background, I took some off-cuts and border strips and layered them up on the left hand side of my layout:
 A little title work:
Some more off-cuts for an embellishment here and there:
 Some stream-of-conscious journaling:
 And there we have it!
All of my thankful thoughts documented:
Quick and easy peasy! This layout will make a great addition to the scrapbook I keep just for myself... a bit of a hodge podge of random thoughts and layouts about me. Sort of an art journal meets traditional scrapbook.

Now, what will you create this week as you think of all that you are thankful for?

I can't wait to see! Be sure to link-up for your chance to win $50 to spend at simonsaysstamp.com

  1. I am thankful the tumour was benign...I am thankful for a husband that just wants me to get better and is willing to do everything so that can happen.

  3. What a uniquely YOU way of scraping what you're thankful for, Ashli. This is so your style! I love the "thankful" running up the one side of your layout. The little bits and bobs you've added amongst your journaling are a great touch. <3 Candy
