These are a Few of My Favorite Things

What are some of your favorite things? That's what we want to know about this week at the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge blog. Anything goes as long as it includes something that is a favorite of yours. Oh yeah - in case you haven't heard, one random winner is selected every week to win a $50 gift card from simonsaysstamp.com. $50! I could think of some awesome scrappy things to get with that :)

As for me and one of my favorite things...

Patterned paper, of course! I may have a slight obsession. And, Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic line is one of my recent favorites. So, I am thinking it is the perfect paper to work with for this week's challenge!
After selecting some of my favorite bits and patterns, they all get a little messy stitch treatment:
And perhaps some strips will be nice in there too...
Ah yes, this arrangement is looking good! I am planning a photo-less layout that will serve as the title page in my Family Album:
A few stickers from the collection couldn't hurt:
I do like that splash of red:
 Washi time!
One of my favorite things about washi is the semi-translucent quality. Look at that beautiful layering you get:
Some title action with some of my favorite letter stickers...
And that was really all I had to do! The gorgeous patterns speak for themselves. So fun!
As this will function as a cover/intro page, I didn't need to worry about the focus being on a photo or journaling. That gave me the perfect excuse to go all out with lots and lots of patters! After all, they are my favorite :)

So, what's your favorite? It could win you that $50 to spend at simonsaysstamp.com.
Don't delay! Head on over and link up. Oh, and if you want to give my project above a try... a complete supply list is below: (affiliate links used)

  15. Oh, this page is amazing!
Like the idea of a title page without photos.
    Mine have all used photos.
But this would be a fun way to just play with product!

  16. Looks like you had a lot of fun putting this one together!! Love the "favorite things" challenge! Who wouldn't want to play along with that????? This Echo Park line is really lovely. I haven't bought any yet (am trying to use *up* some paper before I buy more -- boo!), but I did buy one of the digital elements kits from jessicasprague.com and printed up some things to use from this line.
