Happy Monday! Simon is back for a visit and this week we are talking tape. Use masking tape to create mask, tear into some wonderful washi, or even tear a piece of paper into a tape-like strip. The sky is the limit and Simon wants to see! Hey, there is even a $50 gift card up for grabs from simonsaysstamp.com! So, if you haven't checked out the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge blog, don't wait another minute! Just head on over to the there for all the details.
Alrighty! Moving on to my project. In my scrappy brain, tape equals washi. So, that is what this layout is all about this week. First, one of my most favorite tapes from my stash is placed on some scrap chipboard:
A little run through the trusty ole Sizzix and they are adorable little hearts!
Now for some more tape! This will layer up nicely to create the background for my photo:
Ta Da! So simple and so effective!
There are the little hearts all placed around:
Oh, this is just too easy! How about some twine to jazz it up a bit?
Yes, pretty! Wondering how I adhered all that? Easy! Just a dot of Tombow Mono Multi Glue in the right places.
And there we have it! How simple was that? Life IS good :)
But life with washi is better! I just love how much impact is achieved with variety of color and pattern using such a simple supply. Did you notice that other than my background paper, there is not one piece of patterned paper on this layout?!?! See? A little washi goes a long way. You just can't beat it!
So, how about you give this a try? A complete supply list is below (affiliate links used). Be sure to link up your projects here for a chance at that $50 card. YAY!
