Did Somebody Say No Rules?

This month I have been celebrating my scrapiversary and sharing My Creative Journey with you all. In the midst of all of my posting and creating, something really exciting happened! I was invited to join the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge blog! I am so thrilled to be working with such a talented group that is headed up by the amazing May Flaum!

If you have never checked out this challenge site... now is the time! The challenges are so fun and always inspired, plus the ever generous Simon Says Stamp gives away a $50 gift certificate every week. Holy Moly! Who wouldn't want $50 to spend there? After all, I can always count on them having some of my favorite scrapping supplies in stock. Supplies like Pitt Pens, Sticky Back Canvas, Mister Huey's and of course loads of pretty paper!

So, enough of my yappin'! Let's get to some scrappin'!
The challenge this week is "No Rules." Seriously, what is not to love about that?
Since I don't have any rules, let's make a layout out of tags, shall we?

First, all of the tags are taped with washi on the back to create one continuous canvas:
All taped together and stamped with white acrylic paint on the front:
And here we are with one of my favorite techniques...
that stamped paint will be a resist to some colorful misting:
Ahhhhh..... so pretty!
How about some more stamping? Yes, please!
And a bit of paint....
That was fun, how about some more!
Now that the tag "canvas" is all dry, let's take off the tape!
A stack of fun!
I quite like the idea of arranging these onto a sheet of card stock in no particular order, allowing the tags to make their own pattern:
YES! Love it!!!
Now for my photo - I am so happy that the pattern in the background gives a bit of an oceany/beachy feel. I totally planned that, promise! HAHA!
Let's layer!
Lily Bee all cut up:
And here we go!
YAY! FUN!
Title!
I think all those tags need their stringy friends, don't you? Note to self.... next time tie those on before adhering to the background. Scrap and learn, scrap and learn...
A bit of Stickles:
Perhaps some stitching...
Ta Da!
An unexpected and playful page to go along with this fun photo of my girls drawing on the beach. What happens when you scrap with no rules? Give it a go and link up with us over at Simon Says Stamp and Show.

Or, wanna try your hand at a layout made of tags? The complete supply list is below: (affiliate links are used.)
