Celebrate Art...and Happy Mail!

One of my favorite monthly projects to make are the tags that go along with my Layout Love Linky giveaways. I just love a good session of creative play and the added bonus of sending off my creation to a scrappy friend!

This one was no exception. Let's get to it, shall we?

Up first, grunge board with a bit of white picket fence Distress Stain. Oh, how I love that stuff!
Some leftovers from a previous project will make a good stencil with white acrylic paint:
Oh, yes indeed!
While that dries, a bit of color is flicked onto the white washed grunge board:
And a bit of glitter....
That was fun, I need some more of that glitter action. Perhaps some stickles on this fussy cut piece:
And some texture with the sewing machine:
LOVE it!
OK, back to the stenciled tag. Let's add some color!
Some spritzing and rubbing...
I feel the need for some sequins too! A line of glossy accents is added to hold those babies in place:
Disco!
Now for some more star action:
Celebrate!
ART!
Oh yeah!!!
Another fun tag!
It was even more fun to put in the mail!
I hope you liked it, Sue!
Thanks for playing along and winning Layout Love Linky!
There is still time to link up and play with this month's LLL!
Remember, a link back is always appreciated.
I have a sneaky suspicion that the prize this month might just be related somehow to My Creative Journey.

WHOOT!

  1. What a fabulous tag! I am trying to reorganize my life to make time to participate more in things like your linkup.
I got in the habit of sitting with DH in the evenings watching mindless TV as I was nervous to leave him alone on the main floor after his heart attack.

Now that he is recovering it is a hard habit to break. Although i am dreaming of escaping to my scraproom, he is remarking about how wonderful it is to spend the evening together!!! LOL

  15. I really adore how you use multiple pieces when creating tags! I'm going to have to give that a whirl!! This set is particularly wonderful with the red/white/blue combo - sparkle and shine from glitter and sequins - as well as the texture for the stars!
