Oh, yes...
I have PAPER ISSUES!!! (love the title technique from Revlie!)
And I am beyond thrilled to be the newest member of their Creative Team!!!
In fact, this entire layout is made with nothing but Amy Tangerine patterned paper and a little pen work. JUST paper - a challenge from Simple Scrapper, in which I used inspiration from this AMAZING layout over at the Two Peas Gallery. LOVE IT.
It was all I could do not to start tearing washi or cutting twine to stick on here!
The little blue pocket behind the photo has a copy of the email from Cassie (the owner and coordinator of Paper Issues) inviting me to join the team. Tee Hee.
But wait, it gets better! Now I can offer something to you! A 20% off discount to all of the scrappy goodness in their shop.
Just use the code: soapSCRAP
This coupon code doesn't expire and will always be listed in my sidebar!
I hope you can use it :)
Oh yeah, if you follow me on Twitter, use #paperissues to keep up with all things Paper Issues! And, if you don't follow me...I would love it if you did :)
And now, a question for you all...
We are leaving soon for a family trip. A camping trip - to the beach. My first ever as an adult. I am excited! But, since I have already confessed my Paper Issues to you...what should I pack to get crafty with in the woods and on the sand? Any tips or ideas? Anyone else ever scrapped while camping? Is that crazy? Wait, I know the answer to that last question...LOL!
So, tell me what to pack and I will be back later next week to show off what I was or wasn't able to create while sitting in a tent :)
WELCOME TO PAPER ISSUES! I absolutely love your style and all the tutorials and photos created along the way. This paper issues layout is beyond FABULOUS! Talk about amazing colors, textures, & patterns. You rock girl!
ReplyDeleteAs for camping with supplies, I typically bring lots of scrapping magazines for inspiration. I did my son's birthday invitations while camping once. Be sure to bring scissors and adhesive above anything else. Have fun! :)
Thank you so much for your super sweet words!
Deletelove the layout and congrats for making the team! :)
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful project, and so colorful - gotta love it!
ReplyDeleteNow for your question...my family has always camped(you'll love it as long as it doesn't rain too much), and I have taken projects along to work with. What I try to do is package up a project, usually a mini book type one in a big ziploc bag and put in everything I plan to use, It makes me pare down my supplies to just what I need, and I can come home with something done. Sometimes I will use the photos I take there if I have access to printing them out, or focus on some I already have. Let me know how it works out for you!
Maura
ooops - forgot to congratulate you! It's so nice to see you being recognized for your talents :)
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited to see you on Paper Issues. Welcome! You are so talented! We're thrilled you said yes!
ReplyDeleteI love camping....in an RV....If I were to paper craft while camping, I think I might be tempted to do a Smash book type project. Something small that wouldn't require a lot of supplies. I hope you have a wonderful trip. Can't wait to see what you bring back for us to see! Following you on twitter!
Congrats on the design team! Not sure what to tell you about packing. I took a Fancy Pants brag book on our last vacation, more for journaling than scrapping.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! That page is gorgeous - what amazing detail!!
ReplyDeleteoh, and I've never scrapped on vacation so I'm curious to see what people write - typically I make sure I have a journal at the very least. I bet a SMASH would be cool to bring along!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations- such a beautiful page!
ReplyDeleteYay! Congrats! I'm so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteFantastic layout!
Yeah for you! I love Paper Issues!! And I love that Amy Tangerine paper too - I have made about 5 projects with it so far!!! I am one of those people that cannot create while I am on vacation - I am too busy "being" on vacation! I will create when I get home!!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried camping and scrapping at the same time, but hey why not? I would focus on taking a LOT of photo's so that when you get back you have a ton to play with! An extra digital card, and maybe some props! Love Penny
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and your layout looks fabo
ReplyDeleteCheers
Mary
Yay! Congratulations, girly! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so talented!
I've never been camping so I'm afraid I can't be of much help.
congrats!!! have fun!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing page :)
Looking forward to checking out the shop!
Congratulations! I love the layout and hope you have a great trip.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you!! Your paper layout is awesome and looks like it was alot of fun creating. Camping and scrapping? You do have paper issues:) I guess I would say something small, maybe a smash book? Looking forward to seeing what you come up with, whatever it is I know it will be awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness this so awesome! I love your use of paper and KNEW you could rock this out. This paper is so amazing that you used and totally lended to your style. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteYou might take along some stamped images and markers and do some coloring. Those wouldn't take up much room.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your wonderful news! I'm sure you'll put some of the flora and fauna to good use on your pages while you're away. :)
ReplyDeleteBig congrats - that is awesome!! Um as for camping..we go all the time - I would take paints - like dabbers, or water colors or stains (something you can just close up super easy)- a some journaling pens..that's it...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! But I'm not that much surprised! They are lucky to have you.. such a wonderful talent! And your 'paper issues' project here is AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteyou are so sweet! Thank you :)
Deleteyou continue to blow me away with your style~awesome work!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Connie!
DeleteThat is an amazing layout! Congratulations on your new DT!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I'm so excited for you!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are going on a camping adventure in mid-May to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northern MN up on the Canadian border. We are SO excited!!
I have decided to take a mini-book that I could put lots of journaling spots in and also lots of journaling that I can take out and write on. I asked May and she advised that simpler was better while on vacation. So I have kept it simple but lots of camping and outdoors background papers. It has been great fun getting it together.
Have fun and looking really forward to seeing what you come up with.
Have a super time ~~ Dawn
Great layout, and congrats :)
ReplyDeleteAs for taking crafty things on vacations....my hubby calls me a bag lady, does that help, lol.
I would take some type of journal and some markers. Then you can journal and have fun with colours.
But that only depends on how long you are going to be away though.
Congratulations!!! This layout is DYNAMTIME :) DOn't know about scrapping while camping, but I have had fun scrapping after. Sometimes it is better to just be in moment.
ReplyDeleteyahooooooo...congrats on joining the team...looking forward to working with you:) LOVE your love of colors and patterns!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations - well deserved! As for scrapping while camping, that is a real challenge - especially tent camping! I would also suggest a Smash book - I know you have one - are there any pages left in it? I would concentrate on recording your adventures and adding the photos and embellishments when you get home. Well, maybe a little pen work and washi tape won't take up too much room in the tent!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the DT selection! Beautiful layout!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being chosen! You deserve it. Love your page.
ReplyDeleteCongrats. That layout is awesome. Will be watching over at Paper Issues! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Very Excited for you! Beautiful LO! NO idea what crafty supplies to pack for a camping trip! I think I would focus on "collecting" the memories: photos, memorabilia and and a journal to write your thoughts, experiences, etc. Just enjoy it! Me: I would be taking a credit card to check into the nearest hotel, book a spa treatment and enjoy an indulgent lunch, while the family "roughed it"! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteCongrats again at joining PI! So glad to have you. Love that Amy Tan line...gorgeous! Good luck at scrapping on the go...always a challenge!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I love this page, it's so full of joy!
ReplyDeleteLove your project!
ReplyDeleteso in love!!
